A relaxing and welcoming place to stay in a great location with beautiful gardens and pool.

The staff are lovely - very accommodating and helpful. The location of the hotel on the lake, the gardens and the pool are fabulous.

No wifi in the rooms. No fridge in the room. No air conditioning in dining area.

The entrance and reception was beautiful and welcoming. The food buffet was good.

The between the rooms were very thin and could hear people speaking in the next room. The shower was very difficult to open. Had to keep the shower going for over seven minutes before the water got warm. Then when showering the water went cold after five minutes. No A/C in dining room. Went for dinner at 8 pm and dining area was in the dark. We had to ask for the fans to be switched on. Table service was very poor.

Value for money and good location

Staff were extremely nice, the room was really spacious for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). Great location for a day visit to polonnaruwa.

Food selection during the breakfast buffet (on the second morning when the hotel wasn’t very busy). Having said this, we requested some items from the kitchen and they were provided.

Good hotel but need some improvement in rooms and buffet

This is a nice hotel with beautiful garden and swimming pool but needs some rooms renovations.

Barmen extremely slow and unprofessional. Food at the buffet always cold and too spicy for European taste, sometimes we also suspected no fresh food. Room clean but oldish that need renovation and matelas to change. shower tub too small and not enough pressure at the shower jet. Rooms are not soundproof and you eat neighbourhood or people passing front of your door as they were in your room.

The view is nice, just on the lake.

The level of the hotel is not so good. It looks like a 3 stars hotel, with cleanliness to be improved. Still ok but a bit expensive for what it is.

Good location with good food n average lodging facility

Staff was friendly and attentive.

There were a lot of flies (one of the varieties of flies) in the room after 6 pm in the room.they said it was because of the weather condition.but it was very disturbing.

Value for money. No regrets.

Cleanliness was unmatched. Especially rooms were well cleaned compared to most of the other same level hotels in the same area. Beautiful garden with ample space with lake view.

Restaurant ares need to be improved with lots of lighting.

Total ovarall my stay at the hotel was excellent.

The breakfast was fine.the bar and restaurant facility was fine too.a nice place carm And to relax on a vacarion.the F&B manager did a good job to make us feel at home

There should have been more selections on the a'la carte.it is recommended to have wifi connection in all the rooms if possible.

Location with attractive garden. Good variety of breakfast.

I have ordered for a double bed though we got individual beds and feedback was they have only 4 double beds for whole hotel. Bathrooms are too small and old.

Nice Friendly Stay

It was a very late check in (1.30am) but Sachira was there to help me and had a warm welcome and without delay I was in the bed, I did call hotel to inform I am going to be late and Dilan try to arrange a taxi from Polonnaruwa town to hotel , All the staff very friendly and helpful and we had very nice breakfast, it was a very comfortable and nice stay and definitely I will visit again, Thanks

What was the highlight of Hotel Sudu Araliya

The swimming pool was lovely with a great view.

Luckily we had only booked one night. The food is mostly for asian people, the rooms were cold and the electrical outlets did not work so we could not charge our phones. We woke up at 5 am by monkeys jumping around on the roof. We were asked to keep the doors and windows closed because of monkeys. There was extremely loud music at the pool when a local company was partying. The hotel and the rooms did not look like the photo booking.com shows on their website.

Excellent staff, great food, very clean, fantastic location and view

Would be great if the restaurant is with the view of the lake. Now it’s inside the hall. Certainly can make a big difference to the atmosphere and ambiance.

The staff are friendly and the food is a whole experience for me. It’s good! However the room wasn’t that great. The shower room is clug up.Comfort wise specially the bed. They need to make the bed more comfortable.

Beautiful location at the lake. Hotel was a little to big and impersonal for our taste but overall great facilities including a great pool.

Rooms lacked atmosphere and we noticed cockroaches during the night in the hallway.
